Common questions
InkeyTool doesn’t appear in the Services menu of an app. Services support varies by app, and some apps do not support this workflow. Select editable text first, then open the app menu or right-click and choose Services > InkeyTool.
How do I add a keyboard shortcut? System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services > Text. A shortcut is optional and does not add compatibility to apps that don’t support Services.
Is AI usage included? No. Configure a provider first. Apple Intelligence runs on eligible Macs with macOS 26 or later. Cloud providers use your own API key and are billed separately by the provider. Ollama needs a running server and an installed model.
Where are my API keys stored? In macOS Keychain. See the privacy policy for what is processed and stored.
